Alert systems activation set at 3 Oregon fire halls

Oregon is reactivating the emergency alert sirens at each of the city's three fire stations. The sirens will be sounded between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. whenever an emergency response is needed. Oregon firefighters are equipped with pagers as a primary form of notification; the sirens will be secondary. The sirens also will alert the public.
